Freeware Download: Delete Browser History:: Remove unwanted and embarassing keywords that you have entered in the Google Toolbar. .. very powerful Internet Explorer 6.0 and Windows 2000/XP cleaner. http://www.dirfile.com/freeware/delete-browser-history.htmHOME | Hello - I would need how to permanently REMOVE (= DELETE) toolbars out
of the MS Internet Explorer (6.0). I KNOW that I can temporarily make
them not show (via unchecking them in the view menu) - but then an
unwanted bar shows up again next time I execute the IE - so this would
NOT be a valid answer. Thanks.
Greetings, hcmetz!
Are you still having a problem with scumware on your computer? If so,
please post a Clarification here, and I'll be glad to help you
troubleshoot the problem.

Hello, the toolbar I want to remove does not have a specific name - it
just shows under the toolbar view menu as "search", and consists of
one single inout field ("enter the search term"). I think this may be
something that lycos has installed w/o my explicit consent (I am using
their free email services)(for which you need a pop-up blocker...).
The BHO remover was helpful, and may have already stopped an unwanted
side effect: When searching for something in google, another window
with an unidentified (and bad) search engine came up without any inout
from my side. But I'd still like to have an answer how to get rid of a
toolbar entirely - a pity it that is not possible... thanks.
Hello Hcmetz,
You should try the program Ad-Aware, as suggested by Nickstahr, in
addition to what Pinkfreud suggested too. One more powerful tool is
Spybot, which you can get at http://www.safer-networking.org (though
lately this site seemed down, so please try download.com). And another
is Hijack This (http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/downloads.html).
Install and run these anti-spyware programs, or you can do what is
instructed on the merijn page I indicated, and let me know if that
solves the problem. Remove Junk and Unwanted Software from PC with PC De-Crapifier :: Aug 22, 2006 Remove Unwanted Components in Windows Vista with vLite . I presume that you've already tried (and failed) to uninstall the
unwanted toolbars. There is no universal solution for all toolbar
invasions and browser hijackers.
Have you tried either of these utilities yet?
BHODemon

ToolbarCop

If these do not work, it would be very helpful if you'd post the exact
name(s) of the toolbar(s) that you want to remove, so that we can
target the cure more specifically.
oops... I'm not familiar with the products on the above URL... I meant

Have you tried adaware.com?
You can go into settings -> control panel -> add/remove programs
Here you can simply click on the toolbar that's installed to be
uninstalled if you know it's name.
That's one simple way of doing it.
You don't have to install 3rd party s/w for it.
Sometimes deleting your temp files, cookies by going into the
Internet Explorer -> Tools -> Internet Options -> delete cookies
,delete temp files
and then restart your system.
this removes remaining traces of these toolbars and all.
