My nephew was born 4 days ago, and I thought it would be nice to make him something, have anybody got any ideas of what I could make him ?
Nothing to difficult, something quick and easy to make.

A baby book? You can buy a scrap book kit and put it together...the ones with all the pieces all cut out and ready to glue on.
What about buying one of those baby photo albums and putting family pictures in it... the ones that the babies can chew on that won't mess up the photos. that way his mom can teach him who all the family members are as he gets older.

if you know how to sew or knit you could make him some booties or hat or something. I saw a really cute pattern for a stuffed ball at a baby shower once.
I like the crib mobile and book idea.
Really baby's first visuals are bold black and white colors, nothing too fancy.
Take a hanger and cut out large paper circles and hang them so they are facing down for the baby to see. On the circles draw with a black marker stripes, swirls, polka dots, waves..

With my first son I started a file on my computer where I would write letters to him whenever I thought of it. I just would stop and jot out a few lines and save it in that file. One day when he's older, I will put that file on a disk and give it to him.
