Under terms of the agreement, Exodus and Quote.com will jointly design a
distributed system of Web servers and routers that will be deployed
throughout Exodus' network of Internet data centers.
The network's foundation will be Quote.com's Continuum, a system of routers
and applications that delivers news and market information to Quote.com
users.
With the partnership, the companies aim to double current bandwidth and
increase the number of pathways through which users can access Quote.com's
information, said Robert Honeycutt, Quote.com's president and chief
executive officer.
