QJ.NET - QuickJump Home - Xbox 360 News - QJ.NET:: of blamestorming and the crusade against violent video g. away from the T3CH release, the team promises this latest version to be better than the first one. http://xbox360.qj.net/tags/cvs/682HOME | It seems that the latest XBMC(t3ch) version broke a lot of stuff :-S I just found another bug, which hopefully can be fixed (or is already) before the next t3ch itteration. When you play a video and call the video info (via the info-button on the remote), you can't make it disappear anymore (by pressing info again). Only way to get rid of it is stop the video and start it again....
ps. Developers: did you know the bugtracker on sourceforge is no longer accessible for "users" (any other than administrator)?
Nice idea. I presume it would always replace?
You didn't update your keymap.xml file as well is the simple answer
The video info window is now a seperate dialog and as such needed its own keymap stuff
If you have your own custom keymap.xml then you need to open up keymap.xml and at line 302 of ours you will find the new stuff

that sounds good to me.

in regards to spiff's thoughts about removing stuff from userdata, should something similar be done for the the lircmap.xml and irssmap.xml files? these files map xbmc's button names to what the underlying remote code understands. the majority of users shouldn't need to alter these. and as new remotes are tested, they should be added to the svn. user's can submit them to the tracker for inclusion. activatewindow(videolibrary, tvshows)
yes. the default keymap.xml would be parsed first. then whatever is defined in the user keymap.xml would replace the default mapping. i believe the actions are stored in map, so it would be a "find", "erase", "insert" process.
I have this done in my tree. Just wondering on the file placement. I'm thinking:
system/Keymap.xml - default keymap
userdata/Keymap.xml - overrides this (GetUserDataItem())
On profile change we'd reload from scratch.
Sound OK?
Cheers,

there was a report of this the support forum as well. the info button does toggle the info off anymore.
** edit **
it works fine in the win32 version. both codec info, and video info, toggle on and off with the same key.
i totally dig this idea. would also mean we get rid of the last file in userdata/ that might be updated in svn. nice indeed
I have committed the above changes to SVN rev 14098.
yes, we are fully aware of that the tracker is "offline" since we are in the progress of moving to a new tracker

I just noticed the pressing "Menu" on the remote DOES allow you to make the Info screen disappear. I case the toggle function of the info button somehow broke?
This is also somewhat related to what caused my problem: When I upgrade my XBMC version I always remove ALL stuff from the XBMC-dir except UserData & Scripts (as I want to keep my settings), which how an old keymap.xml was left. So moving any static configuration stuff out of UserData certainly has my vote!.... Thanks!
