My board get's hit with a lot of spam. I was wondering what methods people use to try and counter this. I'm particularly interested in what big board use, or any advice people can share about this issue.

I have no significat change of web structure since 2000 and do not try to spam. . The answer still did not get to the point how to resolve the issue.

I did seem to have it stamped out on 3.6.8, but on moving to 3.7 i'm getting hammered again.
So here is what i'm using:
ISBOT
this one checks the time spent filling in the registration form, and if anyone takes less time than 15 seconds it won't allow it. No one can register in less than 15 seconds really.

I have compiled some information to help you evaluate the issues .. them from making alleged false and deceptive claims and from sending illegal spam.

I'm not using image verification at the moment as people have said this method is better. How many questions should i setup for it to be effective. Well i'm assuming that 20 is better than 1 as it increases the difficulty for a spammer to beat it.
That's what i use, but i'm still in the process of looking for more feedback and info on stopping this.
please share your knowledge!

Thanks but the only solution in there that i havent tried is nospam!
i'll give it a go as it seems to be my last hope :)
guess spam is just there and you have to lump it really.
