[Calgary, CANADA] TELUS Mobility and Audiovox Communications Corp. launched the Audiovox Tri-mode Digital CDMA phone with access to Web-based information.
The Audiovox CDM-9000 will be teamed with TELUS Mobility's CDMA digital network and i-Web Microbrowser service, enabling customers to wirelessly access Internet content and services. The Audiovox CDM-9000 can also be used as a modem and connected to a laptop computer, allowing business travelers to wirelessly access important company information.
TELUS Mobility provides two wireless data services: the i-Web Microbrowser service allows users with Internet-enabled digital phones to access information and services on the Internet including online banking, stock trading, news, and more; i-Web Mobile Computing provides wireless dial-up service to send and receive email, send or receive a fax, access a Local Area Network (LAN), or check corporate intranets and the Internet from a laptop computer, anywhere within a digital coverage area.
TELUS is Canada's second largest telecommunications company. TELUS Mobility provides wireless services to customers in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario.
