Just out of curiosity, since I don't really follow Reading, but why/how did he lose his place with the first 11? The last matches I saw were admittedly towards the start of the season and he looked terrific and was creative and a threat going forward... consistently, I might add. So I'm surprised that he fell down the pecking order and was wondering why/how/who emerged as a better option.
Copps a pretty interesting character that way.
He goes with the hot hand usually and doesnt dilly-dally around when it comes to hooking players if theyre faltering.
Kinda dangerous if you ask me but its paid off so far.

After Seol scored against Charlton, he didn't score for a handful of games so Leroy Lita and Shane Long got their chances and made the most of them. I think Lita scored four goals in the next five games Copps played him. Also, Lita was a really good sport about not playing when Seol was playing. At this point, I don't think they need him up front. Hopefully he can contribute to the team as a midfield winger. simple reason - two good right wingers, one position.
It's harsh on whoever is left out.
Also, Little's return coincided with, IMO, Seol hitting a wall, physically. He had looked tired. Not having a decent break this summer took a toll.
And, it didn't help his cause that when it was time for him to sit, Little started playing really, really well. did help Reading quite a bit, though.
Also, Oster put in a couple very, very good games during this spell.
Will say i'm a bit surprised he hasn't been given a run out on the left at all.
But he has started quite a bit this year, hasn't he?
There were problems at forward, and he got moved up with Little taking Seol's place on the right. Then Little started playing well, and Lita started playing well at forward, which kind of pushed Seol out. There were also a few games where he wasn't great, but Seol looked good today and in the few minutes he played against Blades, so he should start seeing more time and may start again.
