Any suggestion to solve my problem?

I just installed FireFox 0.9 and guess what I can access to the web site!
It is getting very confusing now.
IE + OP = not working
IE - OP = working CiviCRM Forums - "Internet Explorer cannot open the internet site":: 3 posts - Last post: Sep 11, 2008Sometimes I am getting a horrible message from IE--IE 7--the message is:. FF + OP = working
FF - OP = working
I thought the issue was coming from IE but because it's working without OP. But now I am totally lost....!
One could conclude that you have a problem with the rules for your browser. You say that you are using IE but your rules indicate MyIE. Perhaps deleting your current rule set and starting over might help.
I'm using MyIE2 and can get to that site with no problem.
Hello,
The site displays very well in my mozilla, ie6 and firefox. What do your outpost logs show?
Tres interessant ce site :)
True but remember that IE without OP works fine, so...this is a mystery ;-) Internet Explorer cannot open the internet site | 43 Folders:: Oct 25, 2007 I have been receiving the following error when trying to access 43folders.com: Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet site http://www.43folders.com/forum/2007/10/25/internet-explorer-cannot-open-internet-siteHOME | Re:Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet site - JoomlaXT!:: Joomla! - the dynamic portal engine and content management system. From your last post it looks like the connection to the site was allowed. The site however seems to go thru other sites such as grenouille.com, securityresponse.symantec.com and others.
Did you check the blocked connection log and that of active content (Tools Outpost Log Viewer) ? Do you have javascript enabled (under active content)?
I do not use myIE so I cannot help you with it. Sorry.
Well, this is not the case with my IE6 and OP settings!
You say that you are using IE but your rules indicate MyIETrue. But MyIE2 is using IE engine and parameters. However I tried with IE and faced the same issue.
Reguarding IE I did not set up any special rule set. The security is on Medium for all zones except High for Restricted Sites.
And there is no option for "External Content" I am aware of.
Anyway it is working now and this is the main objective. Knowing why would have more clever...
Thanks for your help guys.
PS: Minoka I sent you a PM
Now I see something: the links in the .fr page appear to be redirections. In mozilla and IE, those links open in a new browser window. I have everything enabled in OP's active content. Are you sure the links work when OP is shut down? Do you have correct rules (and perhaps settings) for myIE?
Which log?
Allowed Connections:
20:03:34 myie.exe TCP www.phoenixjp.net HTTP MyIE Web Browser HTTP connection
Under IE, if Active Scripting is not enabled, the site (Internet zone on my end) http://www.phoenixjp.net/news/fr/
will not list the many news links!
I finally found the problem. But I cannot explain why it is a concern with IE and not with FireFox.
You have to enable: External Active Content
Got the solution but did not get the meaning. Very frusttrating indeed.
Interesting!
I am at a loss also since I had no trouble surfing the sites with IE6. I tend to think the pb is related to some IE setting.
Hope you installed Firefox 0.9.1...not just 0.9 which had a number of nasty bugs I unfortunately experienced while updating extensions (:
it is strange because I can access http://phoenixjp.free.fr/news/fr/ without any concern.
In the block log there is nothing related to phoenixjp.
I also disabled each plugin from OP but nothing change. I have to stop it if I want to browse this site...cannot figure out what it wrong with OP configuration...
Lucky you ;)
I thought you had everything enabled under Active Content! The redirections I mentioned are probably triggered by some external script or what not. I did not scour the source of the page, just did a quick look :)
