I have just done a home pregnancy Test and it was faint LMP 10th Sept.Am I really pregnant or can they sometimes be misleading. I have had 1 ectopic pregnancy & 3 miscarriages.I have all the normal signs & symptoms of pregnancy plus i am 2 days late & my cycle is like clockwork. Has any body ever had this happen? Usually when i have been pregnant before the test showed really clear at this time.
As far as I have heard a positive is a positive, no matter how faint it is. Congrats, I would say you are pregnant! Go see your doc to get some blood work done. You can try to test again in the next few days and it should get darker.

Pregnancy tests work by detecting the hormone in your body that is present when you are pregnant. If it was even faint it is probably a yes. Wait two days and retest, but I have never had, or known of anyone else to have a false yes. A false no maybe....
The pregnancy test companies & doctors say that if you see any result, even a faint one, you are pregnant. That's because the thing that makes the pregnany test "positive" is the presence of the pregnancy hormone, which is never present any other time.

But that does not mean you will not have an ectopic or miscarriage, sorry. My ectopic had super faint results because my hormone numbers were low. But don't panic...give it a couple more days (easier said than done, I know!) and try again first thing in the morning.
try again in a few days, when the hormone will be more present if you are pregnant.

Any line, faint or dark generally means positive xx
Even the faintest line is a positive! I had one miscarriage and an ectopic after that so when I took my first test and saw a line (barely visible unless held directly under light) I called the info line and she said congrats! Then she told me to take another test first thing in the morning when the levels are strongest, and sure enough the line was more visible!
You are only 2 days late so there may not be enough of the hormone present for a dark positive. If there is even a faint line, you ARE pregnant. The first test I took, you could barely see the second line. Sure enough, I was pregnant.
this happened to me and i was pregnant, just very early pregnant and it was kinda a cheaper, generic test. i went back and bought a name brand test, and it came up darker a couple days later. but i know they are not 100% accurate. take another one or get to the dr to be sure.
