I saw a relationship specialist on Steven&Chris last week, and he talked about this. What you have is an immature relationship - its not a bad thing, it just needs improvement if you plan on being with this person for a long time. She is striving to be the 'mother' figure, in that she wants to feel like the mature and responsible one, and wants to dictate your actions and get mad at you for insignificant things. Couples who have a lot of little arguments tend to have a good relationship, as they don't actually stress over their fights compared to that of a couple who has a lot of big, serious fights. This is not exactly healthy. She needs a dose of reality - she's acting like a child. You can't exactly bring this up to her in the blunt words I am using, or she'll get extremely upset.

My best advice is, the next time she throws a hissy fit, don't raise your voice, don't argue back, just tell her "I'm going now, call me when you grow up." She'll probably flip, but when she calms down, she'll feel foolish, and hopefully will be willing to have a serious conversation about what was making her upset, instead of just flipping out at you.
