Children's Online Games: Stranger Danger!

Online Gaming industry is triumphing success by invading every corner of the world providing global entertainment. It has covered every landscape and reached every house leaving the few that are below poverty lines, reaching every matured brain and has become one of the fastest-growing industries in the world. However, as we know that with everything there are certain plus points and minus points, so online games too have positive and negative sides, for players, especially for children.

Though there are certain negative sides but online games are considered as just one of the many different ways to enjoy the Internet. The benefits of online games cannot be questioned. A survey in UK participated by teachers, doctors and scientists showed that games help children a lot in studying and improving their skills in life and online games with various motifs give children many chances to express themselves, practice their skills and gain experience in solving the problems. But most of the adults whose children play computer-games are really worried and they think that there are more damages than benefits with these games. If not wholly but at some points they hold a strong logic. Their fear should be not been overlooked but it is not that it cannot be prevented.

Busy schedule and lack of time and attention simply do not enable parents to monitor all the activity their children are having online. Again it is very significant that parents should keep track of their children’s activities online because there are many predators online that are seeking out our youngsters. No parents would ever tolerate their children getting victimized so it is utterly important that parent howsoever busy is should take some time from their busy schedule to keep the record of their children’s activities online and keep them safe from the online predators. Remember always that it is never too soon to discuss to your children about stranger danger on the computer.
