How do I get a 20 month old back to sleep after waking in the middle of the night?
My 20-month old son often wakes up in the middle of the night fussing.I try everything to get him to go back to sleep.I change his diaper,rub his back,pat his bottom,etc...He shares a room with his five month old sister and his loud cries wake her,so before I know it,I have two screaming children who don't want to go back to sleep.Any suggestions??
Everyone has to do what works for them and I know that some will have a fit when I say this, but it works for my crew. We are big fans of co-sleeping. Babies breathe a sigh of relief when they are snuggled up to Mommy and mine always go right back to sleep. They are safe provisions for co-sleeping now. Check out some of the co-sleepers that are available online. We have never used one; however, I have always sectioned off a place for the baby between my husband and myself. After they are a bit older, it doesn't even matter. They'll push you out of the way if you are interrupting their sleep! :) Good Luck.
